Required Experience

medical assessments to ensure that the community can provide suitable care

· Serves as the Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator for the community
\n
· Responsible for the recruitment of associates
\n
· Completes performance appraisals of associates as required
\n
· Provides ongoing associate education
\n
· Maintains the staffing schedules
\n
Qualifications

· Current registration and in good standing as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
\n
· Current CPR & First Aid Certificate
\n
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
\n
· 3 – 5 years of leadership roles in the senior housing industry
\n
· Knowledge and understanding of the Retirement Homes Act and other applicable legislation
\n
· Strong interpersonal skills
\n
· Effective listening skills
\n
· Familiar with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
\n
· Human resources and labor relations experience
\n
· Must have a explicit vulnerable sector screen, no older than 6 months, TB test results less than 6 months old, evidence of flu shot, and must be able to provide three work references.
