trip inspections on Slegg vehicles
Loading and unloading of trucks
General housekeeping duties, or various yard and warehouse tasks as required or directed by management
Assist shipper with loading and unloading of trucks
Deliver materials to the satisfaction of customers and maintain an emphasis on safety, service, and efficiency
Communicate with customers and other trades on construction sites
Verify load security and accuracy
Maintain contact with shipper and work to resolve issues as they arise
Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures
Other duties as assigned by management
Basic Requirements
Previous driver experience
Versatile work hours each day in order to complete necessary delivery orders
Fall protection is an asset.
Minimum valid Class 5 BC Drivers licence
Air brakes endorsement
Forklift operation experience an asset
Previous driver and roll off experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs
Sitting and driving for extended periods of time
Frequent climbing up and down stairs
Pulling, pushing, bending, and twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site
