About the Role\nWe are seeking a Senior Data Architect with strong Microsoft Fabric expertise to support the rollout of a unified data platform for multiple digital products hosted in Azure.
\n
This is a hands‑on architecture role, combining strategic design and technical delivery. You will play a key role in defining standards, building scalable data solutions, and ensuring governance and security across the platform.
\n
This role is critical to removing founder dependency, protecting revenue, and scaling a hybrid onshore/offshore delivery model.
\n
You will work closely with architecture, security, DevOps, and product engineering teams to deliver high‑impact, production‑grade solutions.
\n
Key Responsibilities\nMicrosoft Fabric Architecture & Delivery
\n
Design and implement
\n
Microsoft Fabric solutions
\n
(Data Engineering, pipelines, Lakehouse, real‑time/Eventstreams)
\n
Build reusable patterns for data ingestion, transformation, and serving
\n
Support both batch and near real‑time data processing use cases
\n
Data Platform Architecture
\n
Define and maintain the target data platform architecture
\n
Establish data product and domain‑driven architecture patterns
\n
Provide integration guidelines between shared and product‑level datasets
\n
Data Modeling & Standards
\n
Define and enforce data modeling standards
\n
(conceptual, logical, physical)
\n
Support modeling across complex data types (transactional, telemetry, documents, etc.)
\n
Define schema evolution, versioning, and data contracts
\n
Governance, Security & Compliance
\n
Implement data governance frameworks (classification, lineage, retention, audit)
\n
Ensure compliance with
\n
GDPR, ISO 27001, and data residency requirements
\n
Define and enforce access controls (Entra ID, RBAC, workspace security)
\n
DevOps, CI/CD & IaC
\n
Define CI/CD processes for Fabric artifacts
\n
Implement Infrastructure as Code using
\n
Terraform
\n
Establish deployment standards and environment management
\n
Performance, Cost & Reliability
\n
Define capacity planning and cost optimization strategies
\n
Implement monitoring, observability, and alerting
\n
Define and enforce data quality SLAs
\n
Architecture Governance
\n
Participate in architecture reviews and governance forums
\n
Provide guidance and enforce standards across product teams
\n
Produce documentation (architecture diagrams, standards, ADRs)
\n
Requirements\nRequired Qualifications
\n
10+ years of experience in data architecture / data engineering
\n
Proven experience delivering Microsoft Fabric solutions in production environments
\n
Strong hands‑on expertise in
\n
Data Engineering (Fabric / Spark)
\n
Data pipelines (Data Factory)
\n
Real‑time data (Eventstreams)
\n
Strong experience in
\n
Data modeling and architecture design
\n
Data governance and security
\n
Cloud data platforms (Azure)
\n
CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform required)
\n
Experience working in complex, enterprise environments
\n
Preferred Qualifications
\n
Experience with IoT / telemetry data
\n
Experience with data quality frameworks and SLAs
\n
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Log Analytics, Sentinel)
