POSITION: Custodian
LOCATION: Wagalus Elementary School
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Building Service Worker Certificate, WHIMS certificate, Grade 12 Dogwood Diploma, First Aid and CPR, and clear criminal record check
Experience: with maintenance and grounds work, ordering supplies, minor equipment repairs and previous experience working as a custodian
Personal qualities: excellent communication skills, positive problem solving and decision

F: 1:30 pm ā 9:00 pm with a 1/2 hour unpaid dinner break
Duties: The Custodian is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the school that includes daily sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting. They are responsible for routine cleaning and light maintenance procedures to ensure a high standard of safety, cleanliness and efficiency of building operations and grounds of the Wagalus School. The Custodian is also responsible for minor maintenance duties in and outside the school as well as responsible for the ground maintenance. They are also responsible for ensuring that all building systems and operations are functioning to their full potential.
