This is a 6 month temporary position with the possibility of extension.
This is a night shift position that has a paid and competitive night shift premium. The shift is Monday to Thursday: 5:15 PM to 2:15 AM and Friday: 4:15 PM to 12:15 AM.
Key position functions include:
Responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that office building and facilities are maintained in a healthy, protected and sanitary manner.
Daily duties include: emptying waste baskets and disposing of trash; dusting and spot cleaning all furniture (desks, chairs, tables, countertops, phones); cleaning and polishing bright metals; cleaning and sanitizing water coolers; spot cleaning reception glass, including front doors and entrance, interior glass partitions and doors; check, change, and refill towel, soap, and toilet paper dispensers; maintain washrooms and floors.
Perform weekly and monthly duties: vacuuming offices; washing waste baskets (in rotation).
Responsible for shop floor duties: clean and polish water fountains; clean offices, change rooms, and lunch rooms.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following qualifications:
High School Diploma.
Minimum 3 years of related janitorial experience.
Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
Positive communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary.
