About this Prospect
The Communications Specialist supports the development and delivery of internal and external corporate communications. This role is ideal for an early‑career communications qualified who is developing foundational skills in content creation, coordination, and channel management. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs and working with the guidance of senior communications team members, the role focuses on execution, coordination, and day‑to‑day support.
Core Responsibilities
Draft and support the distribution of news releases and other external communications materials
Develop and maintain targeted national and regional media lists
Conduct media and social media listening to identify emerging issues, risks, and engagement opportunities
Support social media posting, scheduling, and monitoring
Create simple branded social media graphics, templates, and visuals
Maintain social media and internal content calendars and tracking tools
Draft and support content for employee communications, including intranet updates and newsletters
Assist with planning and execution of Town Hall communications and logistics
Support the planning and execution of communications initiatives and campaigns
