What we are looking for: Seasonal availability:
\n
Minimum availability of 10 consecutive days per season (spring, summer, fall, winter). College diploma in a related discipline. At least three 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years supervising a team. Relevant combination of training and experience may be considered.
\n
Experience as a Red Cross volunteer in Emergency Management is an asset, especially in a manager or supervisor capacity. Understanding the role of the Red Cross in emergency response, relief and recovery is an asset. Good knowledge of emergency preparedness structure in Quebec would be considered an asset. Proficiency with computers (databases, Office suite) is required.

Language requirements: Be able to deliver services as required for the operation.
\n
Leadership: Give clear instructions and delegate tasks, make informed decisions, solve problems, provide the necessary guidance, provide feedback, and encourage teamwork.

Ensure that services meet the immediate needs outlined in the RIUSC deployment notice. Be available to mobilize during the deployment of RIUSC (based on seasonal availability). Participate in mandatory annual training sessions.
\n
Responsibility 2: Health and safety management Maintain a healthy and safe environment for staff and impacted people. Ensure the health and safety of personnel and impacted people. Ensure that safety guidelines and procedures are communicated to all responders, and that they are understood and followed.
\n
Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is available and used as required. Coordinate with the logistics team as needed and liaise with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) team to support OHS analysis within the scope of various assignments. Responsibility 3: Planning, monitoring, and evaluation Collect, assess and analyze data about the service delivery.

Continually assess the capacity (material, financial and workforce) of the team under their supervision to meet the RIUSC deployment requirements, and report results and gaps to the Field Operations Team (FOT) RIUSC coordinator. Regularly inform the Field Operations Team (FOT)
