Upgrader This position is classified as a Safety‑Sensitive Position. In this role, you will participate in our non‑rotating14x14 shiftschedule which requires you to work fourteen 12‑hour day shifts(7am – 7pm), followed byfourteen days off. Schedules are based on business needs and subject to change. We offerfree parkingat our site.This is a 12‑month contractor role based inFort McMurray (LongLake), Alberta. The successful candidates will be onboarded through a third‑party contracting agency.Your BackgroundMinimum 5 years of relevant experience as process engineer working in an upgrader facility.Chemical Engineer Degree.Qualified engineer (P.Eng) with APEGA required.Your Role With Our TeamResponsible for daily process monitoring and optimization including crude distillation unit, Sulphur recover unit, and UtilitiesSupport developing Engineering Work Packages (EWP) for upgrader related MOCsCollaborate with operations team on process adjustments to optimize plant equipment operationsDevelop and maintain proactive monitoring tools of the units to predict and support long term plansMaintain focused approach in resolving various operational issues/bottlenecks for the reliable operation of the facility as well as ramp upSupport plant reliability, maintenance, outage and turnaround teams by providing sound technical advice as process engineer on siteParticipate in daily operations meeting. Provide technical support for the operations group to troubleshoot operationsConduct incident investigations and ensure findings are well documented and well communicatedLiaise with multidiscipline engineers, external consultants and engineering contractors for basic and detailed engineering of projectsEnsure design and project implementation conform with design intent, specifications and standard practicesMaintain the integrity of the facility PSI information. Lead/participate in PSM activities (MOC, PHA/HAZOP, PSSR etc.)Ensure that process engineering deliverables are met in a timely fashionProvide support to the business planning group for monthly planning, statutory compliance, etc.Closing Statement All positions require background checks which could include:Criminal police record checkEducation verificationCredential verificationAll Safety Sensitive positions could include:Drug & Alcohol testingPre
