The Role
Fortis Construction Group Inc. is seeking a construction accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will have 3

5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably with experience in the construction industry with bookkeeping and costing responsibilities. This role will support and report to Fortis’ CFO and work alongside both the project management, costing, and accounting teams.
Job Duties & Responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to, the following:

5 years of experience in accounting, including cost accounting
· Experience in construction accounting is a strong asset
· College diploma and/or university degree in Accounting or a related field (Finance, Business, or Construction Management)
· Familiarity with Jonas Premier or similar construction accounting software(s) is an asset
· Advanced proficiency working in Microsoft Excel
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills; with the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and contribute to a team
