City of Mission is currently seeking a Club K.I.D.S Instructor - Summer Camps (Mission) to join their team in Mission.

Education Requirements

appropriate and engaging activities for children enrolled in the Club K.I.D.S. program. You will participate with children in an enthusiastic, respectful, and friendly manner. Instructors should be confident leading and assisting groups of children in a camp setting. They must also be able to support designated children requiring additional behavioural, social, or inclusion support in a 1:1 role.
Qualifications
Candidates for this role must have an understanding of child development including their physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional needs. They should have knowledge of the Care and Assisted Living Act. They must also have robust skills in communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, and leadership. The candidate will have proven sound judgment, ethical decision making, and the ability to stay calm under pressure and/or when handling conflicting priorities.
All candidates must possess a minimum of 20 hours of Responsible Adult training and a valid Standard First Aid with CPR certificate. University education, BCRPA High Five certification, and NCCP certification are considered assets. Candidates must be willing and able to actively participate in swimming, skating, and a variety of recreation activities. This is a highly active role that requires frequent walking to and from program locations and active participation alongside children throughout the camp day. A Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check is required as a condition of employment. As this is a Fraser Health licensed program, all candidates must be at least 19 years of age.
