Required Experience

Child and Youth Worker Diploma and two (2) years direct experience is preferred, however a combination of relatededucation, experience and skills may be considered;
Position Details

Employment Type: Ability to speak Ojibway is preferred and a definite asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is performed in an indoor and home environment operated 24/7 by the agency with children and youth that may become sick, uncooperative or display any other form of harmful or threatening behavior. Requires physical stamina, clarity of thought, visual and hearing acuity to provide supervision, care and support to children and youth on a twelve (12) hour shift basis. Must be able to stand, walk, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, climb and lift/carry up to 40 pounds. Provides local or regional travel for scheduled appointments, visits, and recreational activities for the children and youth in various seasonal weather conditions.
Salary: $28 an hour
