Job Overview
We’re looking for a Skilled Carpenter to join our growing construction team. This role is ideal for an experienced framing carpenter or finish carpenter with strong residential construction and renovation experience who can deliver accurate, protected, and effective work.
Duties
General and/or finishing carpentry duties as assigned
Quality control of the assigned tasks
Maintain a clean, safe workspace
Task execution in an efficient, safe, and profitable manner
Direction to carpenter helpers and labourers
Mentorship of junior employees
Communication with crew foreman and/or site supervisor
Qualifications
Perform all aspects of wood framing: walls, floors, roofs, and structural components
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout plans
Cut, shape, and assemble lumber and materials using hand tools, power tools, and framing equipment
Ensure work meets Ontario Building Code, safety standards
Assist with layout, squaring, shoring, and bracing on site
Collaborate with other trades and site supervisors to meet project timelines
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site
Report material shortages, design concerns, and safety issues promptly
3+ years of carpenter experience
