The position is funded through a grant from Canada Summer Jobs and is available to a Canadian Citizen, resident or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. The prospective employee must be between 18 and 30 years of age and be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulation.
\n
WAGE: 16.50/hour Hours: 35 hours/week for 8 weeks.
\n
Duties:
\n
Support to Management
\n· Support with information management, website and social media\n
· Support with monitoring standards compliance
\n
· Prepare/update brochures and other promotional display material
\n
· Document and maintain household, office, donations and library inventory
\n
· Maintain and update employee records
\n
· Maintain client files and binders
\n
· Maintain volunteer files
\n
· Ensure closed files are complete
\n
· Comply with SASHA policies and procedures
\n
Other Duties
\n· Attend to shopping for supplies, and miscellaneous items for homes\n
· Attend meetings as required
\n
· Report client related concerns to client support staff and document if necessary
\n
· Other tasks as assigned
\n
Qualifications:
\n· Some education in a related field\n
· Comfortable with working in a mental health group home
\n
· Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
\n
· Software skills and experience with general office work
\n
· Ability to take direction and attention to detail required
\n
· Be a team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision
\n
· Some experience with the mental health community is an asset
\n
· A valid class 5 Driver’s license and clean 3
