Time Bylaw Enforcement Officer. Conduct inspections, resolve public issues, and ensure compliance with bylaws during primarily weekend shifts.
As a Bylaw Enforcement Officer I, you will report to the Manager of Building and Bylaw Enforcement. This role requires conducting thorough patrols, addressing public complaints, and enforcing various bylaws effectively. You will also be tasked with preparing evidence for court, emphasizing customer relations and effective conflict management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct patrols and inspections of city properties
• Investigate and process public complaints thoroughly
• Enforce bylaws regarding animal control and licensing
• Prepare evidence for court cases against offenders
• Communicate bylaws clearly to the public
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma with enforcement training
• Three years’ regulatory or enforcement experience
• Strong knowledge of municipal regulations and court procedures
• Excellent conflict management and communication skills
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with good record
Excel in enforcement and regulation interpretation as a Bylaw Enforcement Officer in a vibrant city setting.
