Employment Type: Expressions of Interest About the role We have full time permanent roles available in our Residential Processing and Residential Inspections Team. Our Residential Building Team is responsible for reviewing and inspecting residential building consents across Selwyn, ensuring compliance with legislation and supporting safe building outcomes for our community. Key aspects of each role include: Processing/Inspecting a wide range of building consents Providing advice and expertise on Building Act matters to applicants and internal teams Communicating with agents, architects, licensed building practitioners, and applicants — often under pressure — to solve problems and provide transparent guidance Supporting an integrated approach to customer service by collaborating with other departments (e.G., planning, property, plumbing, and drainage) Maintaining competency through technical audits and our biannual competency framework Staying up to date with legislative changes and adapting to new systems and processes In the Residential Processing Team will work as part of our close
