oriented cultureOpportunities for growth and trainingWhat You Will DoAs an in‐barn Service and Installation Technician, you will install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power toolsTest, inspect and examine machinery and equipment; adjust, repair, and replace defective parts as necessary in a timely, well‐organized fashionMaintain machinery, service motors, gearboxes, PLC, frequency drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, scale repairs, feed systemsProvide customer support and recommendations to farmers; effectively manage and communicate any concerns, problems, or complaintsProvide comprehensive training to customers on the operation of newly installed equipment.Provide customer training on maintenance, adjustments and repairs of newly installed equipmentJob Requirements and Working ConditionsAble to lift heavy objectsWork in small or tight spacesAble to work at heightsNot afraid to get dirtyWork as member of a crew, alongside farmers/customers, and/or aloneMust be able to work in all weather, indoors and outdoors.Standing for long periodsMust be willing to work evenings and weekends if needed.What You BringExperiencePrevious dairy, poultry and hog in‐barn equipment experience preferred; experience or knowledgein electronics and mechanicsExperience with the proper handling of power and hand toolsAbility to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawingsAvailability to work on call hours (evenings/weekends)Farming or agriculture background an assetEducationPost‐secondary education in Electrical Education preferredValid Driver's License and clean driving recordAbout Dortmans Bros.
