What You’ll Be Doing As an Associate Director of Care, you will be a welcomed team member of Sienna Senior Living, working in a fast‑paced environment where you make a meaningful difference. Your responsibilities include overseeing clinical operations, leading clinical staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance to enhance the health, safety and wellbeing of residents.
Clinical Management
Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and person‑centered care to residents.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that address the individual needs and preferences of residents.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas of improvement and implementing evidence‑based practices to enhance resident outcomes.
Team Member Supervision and Development
Train, supervise and evaluate nursing professionals, including Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Practical Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses (RPN/LPN) and Personal Support Workers or Health Care Aides (PSW/HCA).
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication and professional growth among team members.
Provide ongoing education and training to nursing professionals on clinical best practices, regulatory requirements and resident‑centered care approaches.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards governing long‑term care homes in Ontario or British Columbia.
Maintain accurate documentation and records related to resident care, medication administration and incident reporting to meet regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Coordinate and participate in regulatory inspections, audits and surveys, addressing any deficiencies and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
Implement quality assurance measures to monitor and evaluate the quality of care and services provided to residents.
Conduct regular reviews of clinical policies, procedures and protocols to ensure alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement and implement initiatives to enhance resident care outcomes.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary care team, including physicians, therapists, social workers and dietary staff to coordinate care and support the holistic needs of residents.
Participate in care planning meetings, case conferences and family meetings to discuss resident care needs and preferences and develop comprehensive care plans.
Who You Are
Compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living life fully.
Completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN or BScN) or have an equivalent post‑diploma education.
Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses.
Have minimum 1 year experience working as a nurse in Long Term Care.
Have a minimum of 2‑3 years experience working as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a healthcare setting.
