Mount Allison University invites applications for a full‑time nine‑month sessional position as Lecturer or Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy.\n
Position: Full‑time, nine‑month sessional; commencement on August 15 2026 (subject to budgetary approval). Teaching commitment: five undergraduate courses.

Teaching Responsibilities
Introductory Philosophy
Introductory Ethics
Year‑long Ancient Philosophy (6 credits)
Third‑year course on a research‑related topic (preferred focus on Ancient Philosophy)
Qualifications
Near completion of a PhD in Philosophy (or a completed PhD)
Solid commitment to undergraduate teaching
Promising research profile; experience or research interest in Ancient Philosophy preferred
Demonstrated ability to support departmental commitment to the history of philosophy
