What do you offer?
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Aquatics, the Lifeguard works as a part of the YMCA of the National Capital Region’s aquatics team to ensure the safety and satisfaction of members using the aquatics facilities. The Lifeguard interacts with members in the facility, role models best practices, and educates members regarding safe swimming habits. This position ensures that health and safety regulations and YMCA policies and procedures are upheld.
The Lifeguard promotes accident and incident prevention through supervision, rule enforcement, and good maintenance practices. The Lifeguard maintains constant surveillance of members in the aquatic’s facility, guards from appropriate locations, and follows appropriate guard
