Position Details

• Hours: The Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) at the Atlantic Veterinary College is seeking applicants to work as client services representatives on a casual basis for the specialty, referral and primary care services at the VTH. The VTH provides primary care services and specialty referral services for small and large animals across PEI and the Maritimes. The VTH is staffed by Client Services Representatives seven days a week, between the hours of 7:00am and 11:00pm. The Client Services Representatives of the VTH are responsible for answering phone calls (many of which will be of an urgent/emergent nature for a primary emergency service) and triaging those phone calls appropriately to the staff and veterinarians working in the hospital. They are also responsible for other reception duties including, but not limited to, receiving patients as they present to the hospital for scheduled appointments and unscheduled emergencies, greeting clients and working to address their needs, answering client and staff enquiries, helping to set expectations for clients as they navigate the various services in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, and collecting deposits and payments for procedures performed. RESPONSIBILITIES:
