MECHANIC CUPE Competition No. 6192*
Location: District ā North*
Whistler & Pemberton*
Effective:April 20, 2026*
Hours: 8 hours per day, 12 months per year*
Rate of Pay: $38.27/hour*
Duties & Responsibilities:*
\nUnder the direction of the Transportation and Grounds Supervisor and with the general direction of the Director of Operations, repairs and maintains school buses and other School District Vehicles.\n
Qualifications:*
\nCompletion of Grade 11 and over six (6) months up to and including one (1) year related driving experience.\n
Valid
\nClass 2 B.C. Driver's License with Air Endorsement.\n
Current First Aid
\nCertificate or equivalent.\n
Propane Filling
\nTicket. Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and WorkSafeBC BC safety procedures. BC Trade Certification as an Automotive Service Technician or in Heavy Duty Mechanical Repair and over one (1) year up to and including two (2) years related experience at the Journeyman level in the Motor Vehicle Trades.\n
