Position Summary Under the director and supervision of the Senior Director – Operations, the Senior Economic Development Officer will create an infrastructure or system for the provision of economic development services. They will also provide information and assistance to related department portfolios in the communities while maintaining a focus on regional economic development.
Requirements
A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business or economic development related field
Postsecondary education in Economics, Community Development, or Business
Experience in business and community development marketing
Experience in management
Communications: oral, written, and computer‐based; applied to grassroots, industry, government and organizational contexts
Financial and managerial accounting, basic financial accounting principles including bookkeeping, reading financial statements, developing capital and operating budgets, tracking cash flow, and undertaking financial planning
Ontario Class "G" driver's license is an asset
Ability to speak Cree language is an asset
Ability to travel to Mushkegowuk Communities as required
