Education Requirements

Qualifications:
Grade 12 education supplemented by Human Services Worker Program certificate and course work in:
Required Experience

Food Secure Level 1 Certification
Two years recent experience supporting students with diverse abilities in a structured environment and a variety of complex learning, behavioural and intellectual needs such as chronic health and physical impairments, Autism Spectrum disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder; Commitment to the pursuit of continual learning and recertification as required; French language proficiency if assigned to a French Immersion classroom; ability to model language on communication systems at a child's level, valid Class 5 B.C. driver's license and license appropriate to the type of equipment/vehicle being operated and a personal vehicle available for use on the job is preferred, ability to work effectively with staff and students; willingness to provide curriculum support to students in academic and elective classes such as shop, cooking, physical education, if assigned by the supervisor; willingness to work in an inclusionary setting supporting differentiated instruction with adapted and modified curriculum; meets the physical requirements of the position including lifting, bending, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds if assigned to a physically
Position Details

Hours: 28.75 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The current rate of pay is $31.58 per hour plus 16.3% in lieu of benefits.
