MERRITT SECONDARY SCHOOL 1.0 FTE Continuing full time Secondary Counselling position, beginning September 1, 2026.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Counselling background with a Master’s Degree in Counselling.
Knowledge and/or experience related to BC Secondary curricula, graduation requirements and Inclusive Education Programs.
Experience/training in supporting the social

level students.
Valid BC Teaching Certificate and familiarity with BC Curriculum.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A commitment to supporting a variety of learning needs and inclusionary practices.
Knowledge of protocol in working with other agencies.
Training or experience in supporting the needs of Indigenous students.
Committed to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
