Summary
The primary responsibility for this position is maintaining the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of advanced manufacturing systems. This role supports high-speed packaging lines, continuous process systems, robotic cells, facilities, and material handling equipment through hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts.
Interaction with our production, quality and management teams are a must to support production goals, equipment reliability, and food safety standards. You will be required to communicate the correct operation of machinery and assist operators and quality technicians to diagnose, troubleshoot and rectify a variety of production based, dynamic, day to day challenges.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on processing, packaging, facility, and material-handling equipment.
- Complete equipment changeovers, setups, adjustments, and fine-tuning to support safe, efficient production.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
- Follow and support all food safety, GMP, sanitation, and quality requirements while working on or around production equipment.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Automation teams to identify equipment deficiencies, improve reliability, and enhance operator and equipment safety.
- Accurately document work performed, including work orders, parts usage, and corrective actions.
- Communicate clearly with Operators, Supervisors, and Managers regarding equipment condition, repairs, and follow-up actions.
- Safely operate forklifts, hoists, jacks, and other lifting devices during equipment installation, repair, and moves.
- Aid in the training of new employees on the operation of production machinery.
- Participate in reliability, continuous improvement, safety, and capital projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience performing maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably food or consumer packaged goods.
- Working knowledge of conveyors, power transmission, pumps, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with good measuring skills and repair practices.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a production environment.
- Positive attitude with a strong team mindset and commitment to shared goals.
- Clear English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Millwright certification or equivalent experience
- Exposure to automated systems, robotics, or PLC-controlled equipment, navigating HMIs and machine interfaces to diagnose faults, verify machine states, and make parameter adjustments.
- An excellent ability with hand and power tools.
- Experience with welding and fabrication.
- Experience working within food safety, GMP, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Millwright certification an asset.
Physical Demands
- Standing and walking on 12-hour shifts.
- Able to lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs.
- Push or pull loads exceeding 1,000 lbs using pallet jacks or mechanical aids.
- Able to continually bend, stoop, twist, use arms, wrists, and hands (including grasping and squeezing) throughout shift.
- Able to occasionally kneel, reach above the shoulder, work at heights, and climb steps with materials weighing 25 to 50 lbs.
- Able to work rotating 12-hour continental shifts 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am, scheduled within a 24/7 operation (includes nights and weekends.

Compensation
- Competitive wages based on experience and skill
- $0.75/Hr shift premium for shifts starting after 12:00pm
