Position Summary:
School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking applications for Casual Bus Drivers to support student transportation in the Vanderhoof area. This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating school buses on regular and scheduled routes
- Transporting students for curricular and extra-curricular trips
- Conducting daily inspections and preventative maintenance checks
- Maintaining positive communication with students, parents, and school staff
Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
- Valid BC Class 2 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and a clean driving record
- Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR training
- WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures
- Defensive driving training or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 6 months of successful experience operating Class 2 or higher vehicles in all seasons
