Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, physical stamina, and familiarity with warehouse operations to support productive loading and unloading processes.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver products to clients and distribution centers
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling as needed, adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise
- Assist with moving goods within warehouses or loading docks using appropriate equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Follow all federal, state, and company regulations related to commercial driving and transportation
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
- Strong customer service skills to handle interactions professionally during deliveries
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly throughout shifts
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or moving goods is advantageous
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record is required
Pay: $25.00-$36.42 per hour
Experience:
- 5-Ton Truck Driving: 2 years (preferred)
- Commercial driving: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
- Air Brake Endorsement (preferred)
