Job Description:

In alignment with Island Health's Vision, Purpose, Values, and strategic priorities, the Manager, Regional Rehabilitation Operations provides regional leadership and accountability for the delivery of safe, high-quality rehabilitation services across Community Local Health Areas. Reporting to the Director, the role advances patient and staff safety through embedded quality improvement and ensures consistent, effective rehabilitation practice standards across service sites, supporting both regulated and unregulated providers.
The Manager, Regional Rehabilitation Operations leads collaboration across Island Health programs, community and external partners to support coordinated, client-and family-centered care. The role identifies and addresses barriers to service delivery by recognizing gaps in policies, practices, and procedures and working with senior leadership to mitigate clinical, operational, and organizational risk.
The position provides leadership in change management and service transformation, overseeing operational and project activities to develop, implement, and sustain rehabilitation service plans aligned with Island Health clinical outcomes and Ministry of Health direction. In collaboration with clinical leaders, the Regional Manager supports evidence-informed practice, leads specialized clinical and practice support teams, ensures staff competency through education and training, and is accountable for managing operating and project budgets.
Travel may be a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island Health Authority in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master's degree in Health Administration or Rehabilitation related discipline and seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare. Project and change management training and experience an asset. Experience managing a team and leading complex projects. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements. Valid B.C. Driver's license.
