Part-Time Driver Trainer
Job Summary
We are looking for a Part-Time Driver Trainer (approximately 30 hours per week) in Iroquois, ON. This role facilitates classroom and behind-the-wheel training for drivers and other staff, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and provincial regulations. You will coach and mentor current drivers based on key safety indicators.
Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and on-road training to new drivers
- Provide refresher training for existing staff as needed
- Maintain accurate training records for compliance with provincial and company standards
- Support safety programs, including accident investigations and safety meetings
- Evaluate driver performance to ensure compliance with Ontario licensing and company requirements
- Participate in meetings and training sessions
- Travel locally to deliver training at multiple sites
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Class B or C licence with appropriate endorsements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a school bus driver with a clean driving record
- Previous experience in driver training or safety programs is an asset
- Strong communication and coaching skills
- Ability to work independently and travel locally
