Compensation
Weekly guarantee: $1,350, Available five days a week.
Trip pay: Varies by lane. Primary lanes are east of Grimsby to Syracuse or Buffalo, New York (NY), Camp Hill, Pennsylvania (PA), and Windsor Locks, CT. Exact trip rates will be provided with route assignments.
If weekly trip earnings exceed the $1,350 guarantee, the higher amount is paid.
Paid weekly, direct deposit.
Shifts, Schedule, and Flexibility
Start times: 5:00 AM or 5:00 PM.
Workweek: 5 Day availability
Home time: Regular home time expected, with most runs completed same day or overnight.
Equipment: Majority daycab runs, though occasional overnight trips may require sleeping in a sleeper truck or hotel provided when operationally necessary.
Flexibility: Must be willing to adjust start times, shifts, or days on short notice to meet operational needs, and accept occasional alternate schedules as required.
Routes & Duty
Primary lanes: East of Grimsby to Syracuse, Current York, Pennsylvania, and Windsor Locks.
Occasionally Iowa, Minnesota or Regina, SK for vacation coverage and sick calls.
Commodity: No touch, general freight, pin to pin or trailer switches.
Duties: Safe, on-time cross-border driving, basic load checks, paperwork completion, and timely communication with dispatch and customer contacts. Some slip seating may be required. Mostly drop & hook, trailer switches or live unloads, no hand bombing freight.
Required Qualifications
License: AZ or equivalent heavy commercial license valid in Ontario.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience.
Cross border: PR Card or Passport required; FAST card preferred.
Safety credentials: Current CVOR and 3-year Driver Abstract.
Testing: Subject to applicable Canadian and U.S. drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Physical: Light physical work.
Comfortable with driver-facing camera.
Attributes: Explicit communicator, professional attitude, robust team player.
Training: Must participate in ongoing training and safety programs.
Additional Information
Re-bidding of lanes occurs annually, offering opportunities to change lanes or shifts based on seniority.
Position is cross-border, expect standard border procedures and documentation requirements.
Company will provide route-specific trip pay information at assignment.
