The Global IT Governance Documentation Analyst supports our clients IT Compliance & Governance function by executing, aligning, and maintaining enterprise IT governance documentation in accordance with the company’s approved governance model.
This role is documentation‑centric and execution‑focused, ensuring that IT policies, standards, procedures, workflows, and related governance artifacts are accurate, internally consistent, and audit-ready. The analyst plays a key role in ensuring governance documentation aligns with approved decisions and is fully mapped to the Controls Framework to support auditability, control traceability, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, update, and align global IT governance documentation in support of enterprise governance model
- Update and curate IT policies, standards, procedures, guidelines, workflows, and process diagrams
- Ensure governance documentation accurately reflects approved governance decisions, risk postures, and operating models
- Map governance documentation to the Controls Framework to support audit readiness and control traceability
- Perform consistency and quality checks across governance artifacts to eliminate duplication, gaps, or conflicting guidance
- Partner with IT Compliance, Risk, Security, Architecture, and Operational teams to validate documentation accuracy
- Support internal and external audits by providing transparent, well-structured, and defensible governance documentation
- Apply document versioning, lifecycle management, and approval workflows in accordance with governance standards
- Identify opportunities to improve clarity, usability, and organization of governance materials
- Maintain documentation repositories and ensure materials remain current and accessible across global teams
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in management or similar field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT governance, IT compliance, IT risk management, or enterprise documentation
- Strong experience authoring and maintaining IT policies, standards, and operational documentation
- Familiarity with IT control frameworks (e.g., internal controls frameworks, enterprise control models)
- Experience supporting audits, control assessments, or compliance reviews through documentation
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and gaps in complex documentation
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate governance requirements into clear, practical documentation
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional global teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within large, global, or highly regulated enterprises
- Familiarity with GRC tools, document management systems, or enterprise control frameworks
- Exposure to risk management, cybersecurity governance, or IT service management (e.g., ITIL concepts)
- Experience mapping documentation to internal controls or compliance frameworks
This role will be working USA/Canada PST time and candidates in the PST region preferred.
