Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment, Limbros Food Services Inc. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires a hands‑on approach to managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving operational efficiency within the kitchen and dining areas.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the restaurant's daily operations, including front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house functions, ensuring the smooth operation of all cook, dishwasher, server, host, and expediter roles.
- Monitor inventory and order food and supplies as needed.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and handle complaints or issues efficiently.
- Enforce Food Protected and Serving it Right compliance across staff.
- Manage staff schedules and labour costs.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met by following strict standards that must be met in our company's own Operation and Food Safety guidelines as well as the provincial and federal guidelines.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct interviews and hire new team members as needed to maintain optimal staffing levels.
- Implement training programs for staff on food safety practices, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain kitchen operations.
- Utilize POS systems effectively for order management and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with upper management to develop strategies for improving service efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a food service management role or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and food safety standards.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Familiarity with POS systems and their application in daily operations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in supervising multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
