Job Description
AIM is currently seeking a Temporary General Laborer – Summer Season for its Amos site. The position is offered for the summer season, from May to late September or October 2026 (approximately 6 months), with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the General Laborer will be responsible for sorting various types of metals using manual or automated processes.
Responsibilities :
- Sort different types of metals based on their characteristics;
- Prepare materials to meet quality standards (e.g., aluminum cutting);
- Operate various types of equipment and machinery (e.g., forklift);
- Ensure the work areas remain clean and safe at all times;
- Assist with loading and unloading customer vehicles;
- Identify and assign the correct type of metal to materials brought in by customers;
- Participate in shipping activities;
- Assist with torch cutting, as needed;
- Provide excellent customer service;
- Perform any other related duties;
Qualifications

- Experience operating a forklift (an asset);
- Experience in metal recycling (an asset);
- Knowledge of metals (an asset);
- Ability to work in a dusty environment;
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions;
- Good physical condition;
- Ability to work safely at all times;
