Job Description
Our Assistant Restaurant Manager are passionate and supportive leaders who helps cultivate a culture rooted in the genuine enjoyment of food, wine, and hospitality. Working closely with the management team, they play an integral role in the day-to-day success of the restaurant — from recruiting and developing team members to overseeing payroll, invoicing, ordering, inventory management, scheduling, and overall productivity. They also help ensure a safe and positive workplace by supporting Health and Safety initiatives and fostering an environment where the team feels valued, engaged, and set up for success.
THE DAY TO DAY:
- Actively lead daily restaurant operations with a strong floor presence during service
- Inspire and motivate your team by clearly communicating the restaurant’s vision and upholding Oliver & Bonacini’s values
- Monitor and uphold all points of service and attention to detail in both guest experience and back-of-house operations
- Support and develop staff through training, coaching, and performance management initiatives
- Cultivate a warm, professional, guest-first culture
- Build solid relationships with guests, team members, vendors, and senior leadership
- Oversee scheduling, payroll accuracy, budgeting, inventory, and invoicing with precision
- Ensure the venue is spotless, well-maintained, and operating at the highest standard
- Support marketing efforts and contribute to guest outreach and promotional strategies
- Actively participate in health & safety initiatives, ensuring full compliance with WHMIS and company policies
- Contribute to the planning and execution of private events and special functions
- Other duties as required
