Position Overview
The Water Restoration Supervisor oversees on‑site emergency mitigation, structural drying, and restoration activities. This role provides leadership to technicians, ensures compliance with IICRC and WCB regulations, and supports accurate scoping and documentation for both mitigation and repair phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise water mitigation technicians on residential and commercial job sites
- Oversee water extraction, controlled demolition, structural drying, and site safety
- Conduct moisture mapping, daily monitoring, and detailed job documentation
- Ensure all work meets IICRC S500 standards and company quality expectations
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, and internal project managers
- Identify additional affected areas and provide accurate scope changes or supplemental recommendations
- Measure and document materials removed (drywall, flooring, baseboards, insulation, etc.) for repair estimating
- Assist with scoping repairs, including identifying required trades, materials, and quantities
- Provide accurate site measurements to support estimating and rebuild planning
- Ensure compliance with WCB regulations related to asbestos, lead, and mould, including hazard assessments, containment requirements, and safe work procedures
- Coordinate equipment setup, breakdown, and inventory tracking
- Train and mentor new technicians on equipment use, safety, and mitigation procedures
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in water mitigation, restoration, or construction
- Previous supervisory or lead‑hand experience preferred
- IICRC WRT required; ASD, AMRT, FSRT considered strong assets
- Asbestos certification (BC-compliant), such as Asbestos Awareness, Asbestos Abatement Worker, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of building materials, structural drying, and moisture behaviour
- Experience measuring and documenting materials removed for repair estimates
- Knowledge of repair scoping, rebuild processes, and material take‑offs
- Solid understanding of WCB regulations for asbestos, lead, and mould, including secure work procedures and regulatory compliance
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills
- Comfortable using job‑management software and mobile reporting tools

Schedule
- Full‑time
- Participation in on‑call rotation for after‑hours emergency response
- Weekend availability as required
