JOB OVERVIEW:
The Inventory Control Coordinator (ICC) is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory within the store and ensuring stock levels are counted, reported, and adjusted, and managing price changes. In addition to the standard ICA tasks, the ICC is responsible for the communication and collaboration with the ICAs on their budgets and to unify and refine the Inventory control best practices.
Tasked with key inventory initiatives and identifying areas for improvement, the ICC works cross functionally with the supply chain team, yard crew, department leads, and the store manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute product cycle counts and following the cycle count schedule
- Entry of all product adjustments, cycle counts and other inventory related data maintenance
- Investigate product variances, negative on hand and negative margin discrepancies
- Investigate SKU selling issues
- Download Rona price changes daily and update stickers and prices among the store
- Perform the inventory hole count of the retail floor and make recommendations
- Investigate negative-on-hand and communicate to respective parties
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafe Standards
- Refine and rollout inventory control best practices
- Serve as the primary contact for ICAs in the stores
- Assist with problem solving and budget review for ICAs in the stores
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in inventory control is considered an asset
- Knowledge of the building industry is considered an asset
- Mature, responsible and demonstrates a willingness to learn
- Ability to use a computer and programs such as Outlook, Excel and Eagle Software
- Task orientated with a solid attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
