Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Registered Practical Nurse position in the Medical Surgical Department.
The primary location for this position is: Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital
Qualifications:
- Registered Practical Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.
- Must possess current B.L.S. certificate.
- One year of recent nursing experience is preferred.
- Ability to fulfil requirements of full-time shift rotation.
- Medication Administration course completed.
- Medication Administration experience preferred.
- Well-developed Patient Assessment, Intervention and Evaluation skills.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize patient care needs.
- Demonstrated ability to function productively in a very demanding environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently.
- Demonstrated ability to function productively as a team member in an interdisciplinary setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the usage of various programs such as Cerner, Powerchart and Microsoft Office.
- Skilled with the interaction of patients and families to provide patient focused, goal oriented care.
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Privacy and Confidentiality.
- Excellent attendance record and work ethics in previous positions.
- Proven experience working in a fast paced workplace.
- Able to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills with a patient centered focus.
Other pertinent conditions:
- Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($39.50 per hour to $40.25 per hour)
