This unique dual role combines client service with hands-on animal care — perfect for someone who enjoys variety and making a difference in every part of a pet’s visit.
About the Role
As a key member of our team, you’ll support both our front desk and animal care areas. You’ll greet and assist clients, manage appointments, and ensure their pets receive the highest standard of care. From answering calls to assisting in exams, your work will help create a welcoming and efficient environment for our patients and their families.
Responsibilities
Customer Care
- Greet clients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and handle client inquiries efficiently and empathetically.
- Schedule appointments, process payments, and maintain accurate client and patient records.
- Communicate clearly with clients about their pets’ care and follow-up needs.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to resolve client concerns promptly and effectively.
Animal Care
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Safely handle and restrain animals to ensure comfort and safety.
- Monitor patients’ health and behavior, promptly reporting any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, kennels, and treatment areas.
- Support general clinic operations by preparing and sterilizing equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (education in veterinary assisting or animal care is an asset).
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, animal care facility, or customer service role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with veterinary management software is a plus.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing exceptional service to both pets and their owners.
