What we are looking for:
Medi-Share Inc is seeking a permanent part-time Registered Adult Cardiac Sonographer to work in our Exeter and Clinton locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Able to work independently, and collaboratively with interprofessional teams.
- Produce high-quality cardiac diagnostic images that meet or exceed the standards set out by Accreditation Canada.
- Produce clear preliminary reports for interpreting physicians, meeting or exceeding the standards set out by Accreditation Canada.
- Holds a strong patient focus. Verbally instructing the patient of the examination and guides the patient verbally throughout to ensure the patient is comfortable for the duration of the exam.
- Keep a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation. Including proper care of machine, probes, and maintenance logs.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development in order to ensure optimal patient care
- Perform IV insertions for contrast studies (experience an asset, but training will be provided.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or graduate of an accredited educational program in Cardiac Sonography
- Current registration with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) and/or Sonography Canada
- Current active member with CMRITO(College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario)
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills as they relate to patient care
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated commitment to and involvement with own profession (e.g. membership with skilled association, etc.) preferred
- Experience with IV insertion and contrast echo an asset, but training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a clinic environment

Pay: $40.00-$43.00 per hour
