Job Summary
As part of the interdisciplinary team, the RPN is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient/family focused nursing care in accordance with the hospital’s philosophy, policies and standards of care, the College of Nurses (CNO) and all relevant legislation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse.
- Current BCLS required.
- Management of Aggressive Behaviour or equivalent preferred.
- Certificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach preferred.
- Recent (within the last 5 years) experience within an emergency department is required.

- Demonstrates excellent assessment, communication, organization, problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to function both independently and as an inter-professional team member in a fast paced demanding environment.

Hours of Work: In order to provide the necessary patient care, our operations run 24/7. There is the expectation that you are available to work weekdays, weekends and all shifts (days, nights, 12 hours).
This is a replacement position. Applications will be considered until 1600 hours on February 2, 2026.
