We are seeking an Associate Creative Director, Copy with deep experience in pharmaceutical advertising, FDA-regulated content, and medical writing. This role blends creative leadership with scientific accuracy, ensuring that all concepts and copy meet brand strategy, regulatory standards, and high creative expectations.
This will be a 6+ month role, remote. Rate range is $75-85 per hour, t4.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of creative concepts, messaging platforms, and multi-channel campaign copy for pharmaceutical brands
- Partner closely with art, strategy, account, and medical teams to deliver integrated creative solutions
- Write and oversee high quality copy across HCP, patient, and payer audiences, including digital, print, video, and experiential formats
- Ensure all work aligns with FDA, OPDP, and industry regulatory requirements
- Review and refine copy for accuracy, clarity, and scientific integrity
- Present creative work to internal teams, clients, and medical/regulatory reviewers
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level copywriters, providing clear direction and actionable feedback
- Collaborate with medical and regulatory teams to navigate MLR submissions and revisions
Qualifications
- 6 -10 years of copywriting experience in healthcare advertising or medical communications
- Strong understanding of FDA regulations, MLR processes, and pharmaceutical promotional guidelines
- Proven ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, compelling, and compliant copy
- Experience leading creative teams and guiding concept development
- Portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, storytelling, and pharma expertise
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting

- Experience across multiple therapeutic areas
- Background in HCP and DTC campaigns
- Agency or client side experience
