Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role requires solid mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of our fleet of heavy machinery, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Experience with dealership operations, schematics interpretation, welding, electrical systems, and automotive repair is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse equipment types and contribute to the success of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Conduct troubleshooting to identify root causes of equipment failures
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to repair or replace faulty components
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
- Assist in assembly and disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize repair tasks and minimize downtime
- Perform heavy lifting as required for parts replacement or equipment servicing
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role within dealership or industrial settings
- Strong mechanical knowledge of excavators, Heavy Equipment and Transport Trucks, Highway & Lowbed Trucks.
- Proficiency with schematics interpretation and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with welding, automotive repair, assembly work, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment when necessary
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for farm machinery and industrial equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service orientation when interacting with clients or internal teams
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications or dealership experience are preferred but not mandatory
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $46.00-$55.00 per hour
