Sansom Equipment Limited is the leading distributor and service provider for pumps, generators, blowers, valves, VFDs, Magnetic Flowmeters, Instrumentation, Chemical Injection Pumps and packaged engineered systems for industrial and municipal applications across Eastern Canada.
We are currently looking for a Parts Specialist to join our professional team in our Truro branch. This is a sales-focused role responsible for developing and growing our aftermarket parts business within our Industrial, Municipal and Commercial end user account groups throughout the province of Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will play a key role in building strong customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering value-added solutions that drive long-term growth.
Responsibilities:
- Drive aftermarket parts sales and actively identify opportunities to grow business with new and existing customers.
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with Industrial, Municipal and Commercial clients across Nova Scotia.
- Aftermarket parts support for company sold pumps, generators, blowers, valves, VFDs, flowmeters, instrumentation, chemical injection pumps and packaged engineered systems for industrial and municipal applications.
- Responsible for responding to phone and email inquiries in an efficient manner. Proactively follow up on quotations, leads and opportunities to convert to sales.
- Responsible for updating business software applications with creation of quotations, sales orders, purchase orders, inventory receipts, packing slips and inventory fulfillment for processing
Shipping and receiving of goods.
- Inventory tracking and periodic physical counting of inventory to meet operational needs
Working in a collaborative manner with our clients to provide innovative solutions to their aftermarket parts needs.
- Customer service responsibilities with the ability to provide excellent customer service to external as well as internal customers.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of mechanical equipment and a strong willingness to learn the products that we represent.
- Sales-driven mindset with a goal towards aftermarket parts sales growth.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong computer skillset with Microsoft programs (such as Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Neat, clean, and tidy personal appearance and the ability to apply the same to a workstation / department.
- Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently daily in a structured, skilled manner and setting.-
- Hold a valid driver's license.
