We are hiring for a Full-Time/Part time Garden Centre Clerk with a wage range of $15.00 - $18.00 at our location in Valleyview, AB.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Advising customers with care instructions for various types of plants
- Providing specific plant suggestions or equipment recommendations
- Weed, water, and prepare plants for purchase
- Carefully package products to avoid damage
- Prepare merchandise for purchase
- Assist in creating, dismantling, and planning plant displays
- Process sales transactions, accept payment, maintain sales records, and operate computerized sales and inventory systems
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
- Handling customer inquiries and providing an exceptional customer experience
What you Bring:
- A passion for flowers, vegetables, and other types of plants
- Knowledge of plant care is an asset
- Ability to innovate and think creatively
- Warm and welcoming personality
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working during peak garden retail hours (i.e. evenings, daytime, weekends, and holidays)
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
