Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bus Monitor to ensure the safety and well-being of children during transportation. The Bus Monitor will be responsible for supervising students on the bus, maintaining a secure environment, and assisting with their needs throughout the commute. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with children and supporting their development in a caring and structured setting.
Duties
- Supervise children during bus rides to ensure safety and proper behavior
- Assist students boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring they do so safely
- Address student needs and provide support as necessary during transit
- Enforce safety rules and bus policies consistently
- Communicate effectively with school staff and students regarding any concerns or incidents
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment
- Report any safety hazards or behavioral issues to appropriate personnel promptly
Skills
- Experience working with children, including caregiving or classroom experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and understanding
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with students, parents, and staff
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus
