Omega Canada Environmental Technologies is seeking a Purchasing Lead to support and coordinate procurement activities across its operations. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day purchasing functions while working collaboratively with internal teams and affiliated organizations to promote consistency, efficiency, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead purchasing activities including sourcing, vendor selection, and order management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability
- Collaborate with internal departments (operations & engineering) to align procurement with project and production needs
- Support standardization of purchasing processes, tools, and vendor strategies across related business units
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to meet operational requirements
- Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations
- Assist in negotiating pricing, contracts, and service agreements with vendors
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain functions
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in supply chain management, business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement
