We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Millwright. Our client, a well-established manufacturer in Guelph is looking to add a skilled Millwright to their straight day shift team. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, equipment repair, and supporting a busy production environment. The Millwright will play a key role in minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and helping ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on production and plant equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Complete equipment repairs, rebuilds, and installations as required
- Support machine changeovers, line improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct inspections on machinery and equipment to identify wear, safety concerns, and potential failures
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and equipment schematics
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency
- Assist with equipment upgrades, new installs, and plant projects as needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety procedures and plant standards
Mandatory Requirements:
- Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Solid troubleshooting skills with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment repair in a fast-paced production setting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and mechanical drawings
- Strong understanding of safe work practices and lockout/tagout procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance support
Salary Range: $42.00 - $44.00 per hour, Quarterly Bonus <$2500
