From residential projects like patios and retaining walls to commercial excavation, we are a growing company ready to bring on skilled professionals to help shape the future of construction.
We are looking for an experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our team. As a key member of the crew, you will be responsible for operating skid steer equipment on various residential and commercial projects. This role requires at least 3 years of experience in commercial excavation and the ability to work safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate skid steer for excavation, grading, and material handling tasks
- Ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of equipment
- Assist in preparing sites for construction by leveling and grading
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Work alongside other operators and laborers to meet project deadlines
- Follow safety guidelines to minimize risks on-site
- Perform minor repairs and troubleshooting of skid steer equipment when necessary
- Ensure the work area is kept clean and organized
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating skid steers
- Commercial excavation experience preferred
- Familiarity with other heavy equipment is a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Strong understanding of excavation and grading principles
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (50+ lbs)
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols
Pay and Benefits:
- Full time, permanent position
- Hourly wage: CA$28 to CA$36 (depending on experience)
- Paid Time Off (PTO): 2 weeks per year
