The First Nations University of Canada, Department of Student Success Services is accepting applications for Tutors at the Norther (Prince Albert) Campus in the areas of Mathematics and Statistics, Cree, Science, Business and English (Writing).
Duties:
The successful candidate will work with students on problem areas in their course work by explaining course concepts and examples and assist with exam preparation through individual and/or group tutoring sessions at mutually agreed upon days/times.
Qualifications:The ideal candidate must possess the following:
- Minimum 3rd Year or 4th Year University student (minimum 60 or more credit hours) or possess an Undergraduate Degree in a related area.
- Must have an overall GPA of 70% or better, with a minimum GPA of 75% in at least 12 credit hours in the tutor subject area.
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
- Be a self-motivator who can work to achieve results while ensuring attention to detail and compliance with reporting requirements
Salary Range: $18.00 – $24.00 hourly rate including vacation pay depending on academic credentials.
