As we scale across multiple sites, we are strengthening our IT application landscape to ensure secure, reliable, and well-configured financial and commercial systems that support the business.
We are seeking a technically strong Business Systems Lead – Finance & Sales Applications to own the administration, configuration, and optimization of core enterprise systems supporting Finance and Sales. This role sits at the intersection of IT and the business and works closely with the CFO, Sales leadership, and Operations to ensure systems such as Epicor Kinetic (ERP), FP&A; platforms, CPQ tools, and project management applications are properly configured, integrated, documented, and supported.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys managing enterprise applications, improving system architecture, and enabling the business through well-designed, well-governed technology.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Systems Administration
- Own the configuration and ongoing administration of Epicor Kinetic financial modules, FP&A; and any other financial reporting platforms.
- Configure forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and scenario-analysis models to meet evolving business requirements.
- Administer and support AP automation tools, including workflow configuration, user access, controls, and exception handling.
- Assist in the design and maintain a multi-site financial reporting structure, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and auditability.
- Build and maintain financial dashboards and reports using Power BI or equivalent BI tools.
- Manage master data, security roles, user provisioning, and change controls within finance-related systems.
Sales & Commercial Systems Administration
- Own the configuration and ongoing administration of Epicor Kinetic modules supporting quoting, order management, and projects.
- Administer and enhance CPQ workflows, ensuring pricing logic, rules, and approvals are accurate, scalable, and documented.
- Replace Excel-based tools with system-driven solutions through configuration, automation, and integration.
- Administer project and milestone tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet), including templates, permissions, automations, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain dashboards tracking RFQ volume, quote turnaround time, pipeline health, and project execution.
Systems Integration, Data & IT Collaboration
- Configure and manage integrations between ERP, FP&A;, CPQ, BI, and project management platforms, working closely with IT and vendors as needed.
- Ensure data integrity across systems through validation rules, reconciliation processes, and monitoring.
- Maintain system documentation including configurations, data flows, controls, and user procedures.
- Support system upgrades, patches, testing, and change deployments in coordination with IT and vendors.
- Act as support for Finance and Sales systems, troubleshooting configuration and data issues.
Enablement & Governance
- Define best practices for system usage, access management, and configuration standards.
- Develop training materials and deliver user enablement to drive adoption and correct system use.
- Balance business requests with system stability, scalability, and security.
- Continuously identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and standardize application usage across sites.
Qualifications
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business Technology, or a related field.
Experience
- 5+ years in business systems, IT application administration, ERP support, or enterprise software configuration roles.
- Hands-on experience administering ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic or similar) in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting finance and sales applications in multi-site or growing organizations.
- Proven ownership of application configurations, integrations, and system improvements.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of ERP configuration, master data, security roles, and workflows.
- Experience with FP&A; platforms (e.g., Vena, Adaptive, or similar), CPQ tools, and BI platforms (Power BI preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to translate spreadsheet logic into system-based solutions.
- Familiarity with AP automation, CRM systems, and project management tools.
- Comfort working with vendors, IT teams, and external implementation partners.
